How HBVgo™ Pre-Infected HBV Hepatocytes works

FRG® liver-humanized mice are chronically infected with HBV before hepatocytes are isolated and cryopreserved. We ship frozen HBVgo to your site, so they’re in your freezer and ready when you are. Simply thaw, plate, and in 12 hours, cells are ready for test article administration. If you’re running multiple experiments over time, rest assured, HBVgo hepatocytes are produced with consistency in mind to minimize experiment to experiment variability.

Advantages of HBVgo™

HBVgo delivers pre-infected HBV hepatocytes, removing the delay and variability of establishing infection in-house.

Longer therapeutic window

Skip the time needed to establish HBV infections; start testing treatment response sooner.

Consistent, chronic-level infection, right from plating

>90% of hepatocytes infected starting from day 1.

Built for therapeutic testing

Supports long-term antiviral response and rebound testing, over weeks, not days.

What is the typical delivery timeline?

HBVgo cells are ready to ship from our cryofreezer to yours. Standard delivery time is 1-2 weeks from placing your order.

Each HBVgo cryovial contains approximately 3M viable human hepatocytes.

No, HBVgo hepatocytes are designed to work with standard hepatocyte culture media (HCM). A cell handling guide is included with each order to provide technical recommendations.

Yes, HBVgo hepatocytes can be made with most of our FRG liver-humanized mice donors. We currently have male and female donors available. Please contact us to learn more about our donor options.

Yes, we are set up to run in vitro studies using HBVgo hepatocytes at our facility in Portland, Oregon. Contact us using the form below to speak with a Yecuris scientist about your project today.

Yes, we can generate a custom lot of HBVgo hepatocytes with your HBV genotype, preferred donor or after in vivo treatment. This process typically takes between 12-20 weeks depending on the customization. Please contact us using the form below to speak with a Yecuris scientist about your project.
